Why Would You Need Anonymous Proxies?
Anonymous proxy servers allow you to connect to another server and hide your true i.p. address. They are useful for scraping search engines, since most search engines will block a single i.p. address after a number of searches. Having a list of anonymous proxies allows you to rotate your origin when requesting search results. Doing so normally sufficiently spreads your requests out enough to avoid being blocked.
Proxies are also used for many other purposes, such as for privacy and online safety. Every website you access logs your internet protocol or i.p. address. This address can be used to compromise your location and internet service provider (I.S.P.). By using anonymous proxies, you maintain quite a bit of anonymity, as the proxy’s address is recorded in the logs of sites you visit, instead of your own.
